Blending Operating Technician – Food Processing

About the role

The Blending Operating Technician works under the direct supervision of the Blending Supervisor to operate and maintain INDAG systems, ensuring production targets for quantity and quality are consistently met. This role is pivotal in guaranteeing smooth blending operations across multiple production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Execute routine and planned maintenance on INDAG systems and document all activities.
• Troubleshoot and rectify emerging problems on the INDAG platforms.
• Operate the In‑Line Mixer (ILM) and monitor sugar, acid syrup preparation, and pasteurisation processes.
• Maintain calibration of blending equipment and ensure CIP steps follow the approved matrix.
• Verify batch dosing module volumes, monitor ingredient transfers, and record meter readings for SAP input.
• Analyze blends and syrups, ensure parameters are within range, and coordinate with QA.
• Supervise Blending Assistants, manage spare‑part inventory, and guarantee RO water availability.
• Provide technical assistance to production lines and handle any assigned technical tasks.

Required profile

• HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum three (3) years experience in food processing or bottling.
• Strong background in instrumentation, controls, and troubleshooting Siemens PLCs.
• Good understanding of SCADA systems.
• Effective communication, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
