Caretaker (Officers Residence)

About the role

The Ghana National Association of Teachers seeks a dedicated caretaker to manage the Officers' Residence. The role ensures the property is clean, secure, and well‑maintained, providing a comfortable living environment for designated officers and visiting guests.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of rooms, corridors, kitchen, washrooms and the compound.
• Identify maintenance needs and promptly report faults, damage or repairs.
• Oversee regular cleaning and ensure all areas remain tidy and hygienic.
• Report and coordinate repairs for electrical, plumbing and other utility systems.
• Maintain accurate records of furniture, appliances and other assets.
• Prepare the residence for visiting officers and official guests, ensuring all facilities are functional before occupancy.
• Keep daily activity and maintenance logs up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum Senior High School Certificate (WASSCE/SSCE) or equivalent.
• 2–3 years experience in caretaking, property maintenance or facility management.
• Integrity, honesty, reliability, responsibility and respect for confidentiality.
