CIC Technician – Process Plant (Mining)

About the role

AngloGold Ashanti Ghana is redeveloping the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, fully mechanised operation. The company seeks an experienced, self‑motivated CIC Technician to support the Process Plant’s control and instrumentation (CIC) maintenance across day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and periodic audits of CIC refurbishment and maintenance activities in compliance with Ghanaian regulations and AGAG standards.
• Execute visual, infrared, ultrasonic, motor‑current, flux and simple NDT checks on rotating equipment.
• Collect, analyse and trend predictive maintenance data (vibration, IR, etc.) to assess plant condition and generate actionable reports.
• Generate work requests in SAP for repair planning, scheduling and contractor coordination.
• Participate in root‑cause failure analysis, condition‑monitoring programmes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Monitor equipment performance on the asset‑health system and implement cost‑reduction projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in CIC maintenance within a process‑plant or mining environment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility for personal and team safety, and follow the site’s Environmental Management Plan.
