Clinical Specialist – HIV Programs (Ghana)

About the role

The Clinical Specialist will support the delivery of integrated HIV clinical care and laboratory services across the EpiC Ghana project sites. Working closely with the Ghana Ministry of Health, National AIDS/STI Control Programme and regional health directorates, the specialist will help achieve the UNAIDS 95‑95‑95 targets by 2030.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor HIV treatment, viral load, AHD, PrEP, PMTCT, EID and case‑detection activities.
• Provide technical and quality‑assurance support to health facilities, ART centres and community partners.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives and support supply‑chain management for ARVs, test kits and PrEP commodities.
• Strengthen clinical‑laboratory coordination to improve viral‑load coverage, ensure timely sample processing and promote use of results for patient management.
• Collaborate with the HIV Technical Advisor, program staff and implementing partners to align with project strategies.

Required profile

• Experience in HIV clinical care and laboratory services within public‑health programs.
• Familiarity with Ghana’s health system, including the Ministry of Health, NACP and regional health directorates.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and provide technical guidance.
