Corporate Merchants Manager

About the role

SAO Payment Ltd is seeking an experienced Corporate Merchants Manager to lead the acquisition and growth of corporate merchant relationships across Accra and the Tema region. You will be responsible for driving the end‑to‑end merchant onboarding process and ensuring portfolio performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop corporate merchant acquisition and growth plans and manage a qualified pipeline.
• Assess merchant needs, lead proposals and negotiations within approved parameters.
• Coordinate due diligence, contracting, integration, deployment, training and go‑live activities.
• Manage portfolio performance, settlement issues, retention and renewals.
• Maintain forecasts, CRM records and market insights while ensuring merchant compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years leading people, portfolios or programmes.
• Minimum 4 years in B2B sales, corporate account management, merchant acquiring or payments business development.
• Strong understanding of digital payments, merchant KYB, settlement and merchant economics.
• Excellent consultative selling, proposal writing, negotiation and executive relationship‑management skills.
