Director, Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance

About the role

The University of Cape Coast is recruiting a Director for its Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA). The Director is the head of DAPQA, reports to the Vice-Chancellor and holds a professorial rank. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning and monitoring of academic programmes across the University.
• Spearhead the university-wide quality assurance system, covering all sections and the mechanisms designed to maintain high performance standards.
• Report to the Vice-Chancellor.

Required profile

• Internationally acclaimed scholar of a professorial rank.
• PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Considerable teaching, research and administrative experience in a university or analogous institution.
• Well grounded in the principles of total quality management.

The appointment is for a four-year term, renewable for another four years only if the candidate has not reached statutory retiring age. Salary and fringe benefits are described as attractive.
