Driver – General Service Category

About the role

Under the general supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the driver will operate official UNICEF vehicles, ensure their proper maintenance, and guarantee the safety of passengers, road users, and transported goods.

Key responsibilities

• Drive office vehicles for authorized personnel transport, mail, document and item delivery, and collection.
• Meet officials at the airport and facilitate immigration/customs formalities.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (oil, water, battery, brakes, tires) and report any defects.
• Carry out minor repairs, arrange for major repairs, and keep the vehicle clean and secure.
• Maintain custody of vehicle tools and equipment.
• Undertake any other duties as required by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Professional driver’s licence.
• Five years of continuous safe driving experience.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
