Event Management & Marketing Volunteer

About the role

The African Diaspora Resource Centre (ADRC) is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support event management and marketing activities that connect diaspora returnees with local communities in Ghana. As a Community Leader, you will help design, coordinate, and host networking events, cultural experiences, and educational workshops.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support ADRC networking events, meet‑ups, workshops, and cultural experiences.
• Serve as event host or master of ceremonies, welcoming guests and facilitating engagement.
• Assist with event planning, logistics, registration, and day‑of‑event coordination.
• Promote ADRC programs through social media and community outreach.
• Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders.
• Collect photos, videos, testimonials, and highlights for marketing purposes.

Required profile

• Passionate about Ghana, the African diaspora, and community building.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups (preferred but not required).
• Organized, dependable, and proactive.
• Creative and enthusiastic about creating engaging experiences.
