Expat Spa Manager (South African, Philippine & Other Nationals)

About the role

A Beauty Residence in Greater Accra is looking for an Expat Spa Manager, open to South African, Philippine and other nationalities. You will oversee day-to-day operations so that customer service is exceptional, operations are excellent and profitability is sustained. The role covers running the spa, leading a team, developing services and working with other subsidiaries to grow the business.

Key responsibilities

• Operations: run daily operations efficiently, develop and follow SOPs, track KPIs and take corrective action
• Sales and promotions: lead promotional activities, work with Marketing on campaigns, analyse sales data to optimise pricing and offerings
• Customer experience: keep satisfaction at 90% or above, resolve client concerns within 24 hours, set service protocols
• Innovation: introduce new services or trends every 6 months, update the spa menu and adjust offerings
• Team leadership: recruit, onboard, train and supervise staff, run quarterly performance reviews and foster a positive culture
• Inventory: reduce wastage by 10% year-on-year, ensure timely procurement, run stock controls and monthly audits
• Facilities: keep hygiene, cleanliness and ambiance standards, conduct weekly walkthroughs and supervise maintenance
• Growth liaison: work with management and sister businesses, attend monthly leadership meetings
• Finance: prepare and manage the annual budget, control costs, aim for a minimum 20% profit margin and stay within 5% of budget variances
• Compliance and reporting: ensure health, labour and safety compliance, hold quarterly safety drills, report on operations, finance and customers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Spa Management or a related field; additional certifications in Spa Operations, Beauty Therapy or Wellness Management are a plus
• Minimum 4-6 years of progressive experience in spa, salon or wellness centre operations
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
• Proven experience managing teams, budgets and customer service delivery

• Proficiency in spa management software, MS Office and basic financial reporting
