General Manager - Hospitality Property

About the role

A full-time General Manager position is open in Accra, Ghana, for a hospitality property such as an apartment complex, hotel, restaurant, lounge or club. The role covers day-to-day operations, team leadership, revenue targets and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the property is kept clean, well-maintained and presented to a high standard, including facilities, equipment, furniture, lighting and sound systems.
• Keep staff well-groomed, professionally dressed, punctual and delivering excellent customer service.
• Oversee accurate check-in and check-out procedures for apartment guests.
• Maintain food quality, presentation, hygiene and service in the restaurant; keep the bar stocked and drinks prepared correctly.
• Control inventory and costs across departments, and create systems that improve efficiency and accountability.
• Meet agreed monthly revenue and profit targets, and analyse performance to grow occupancy, restaurant and bar sales, event bookings and corporate clients.
• Use marketing and networking skills to attract guests and influencers, and organise weekly and monthly events that draw crowds.
• Work under pressure, handle company funds and assets with integrity, and submit daily, weekly and monthly operational and financial reports.

Required profile

• Strong experience in hospitality, hotels, apartments, restaurants, lounges, clubs or entertainment venues.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to solve problems quickly.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to build, train, motivate and discipline a team.
• Comfortable working under pressure and with a strong understanding of the local market.
