Fleet Supervisor

About the role

The Fleet Supervisor will oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring efficient vehicle allocation, driver scheduling, and load coordination across Accra and Tema.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise vehicle allocation, driver rostering, route assignments, and load coordination.
• Monitor fleet KPIs such as utilisation, on‑time delivery, fuel efficiency, maintenance turnaround and incidents.
• Manage preventive maintenance programmes, track repairs and approve work orders.
• Ensure compliance with Ghana transport regulations, licensing, permits and company policies.
• Coach and develop drivers, conduct performance reviews and oversee fatigue management.
• Investigate accidents, produce reports, implement corrective actions and run safety briefings.
• Control costs by monitoring fuel, tyre, parts and maintenance spend and prepare regular fleet reports.
• Support vehicle procurement, specification, acquisition planning and lifecycle replacement.
• Coordinate with operations planners, customer service, procurement and HR to align fleet resources.
• Maintain up‑to‑date vehicle records, licences, insurance, maintenance logs and use fleet management systems accurately.

Required profile

• HND or 1st Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years’ experience supervising a commercial vehicle fleet in logistics, transport or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of Ghana road transport legislation and compliance.
• Valid driver’s licence (B or higher preferred) with a clean driving record.
• Excellent organisational, communication and people‑management abilities.

• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Standard office software competence.
