Gynecologist – Women’s Health Practice

About the role

Famano Health is seeking a qualified, patient‑focused Gynecologist to join its growing women’s health practice in Accra. The role combines hands‑on clinical care, patient follow‑up, medical records management and laboratory coordination within a modern, women‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialist gynecological consultations, including cervical screening, pelvic exams and ultrasounds.
• Provide comprehensive antenatal care from the first to third trimester and manage post‑natal follow‑up.
• Perform minor procedures such as IUD insertion/removal, contraceptive implant placement, cervical biopsies, LEEP and cryotherapy.
• Order, receive and interpret laboratory and imaging results, and communicate findings sensitively to patients.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records, manage appointment scheduling and handle billing/insurance liaison.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, sterilisation and confidentiality standards while delivering a warm, non‑judgmental patient experience.

Required profile

• Medical degree in Obstetrics & Gynecology with appropriate licensing to practice in Ghana.
• Board certification or equivalent qualification.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work autonomously.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Commitment to women’s health and compassionate patient care.
