Head of Human Resources

About the role

Jobberman Third Party is recruiting a Head of Human Resources for a position based in the Accra and Tema region of Ghana. The role covers the full range of HR functions, from strategy and recruitment to employee relations and payroll, and advises management on organizational structure and workforce planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and procedures aligned with business goals.
• Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding and workforce planning.
• Manage performance appraisal systems and help departmental heads set targets.
• Build employee training and development programmes.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, leave administration and employee records.
• Ensure compliance with Ghanaian labour laws, employment regulations and industry requirements.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters and conflict resolution.
• Advise management on organizational structure, succession planning, retention and productivity.
• Improve employee engagement, motivation and retention.
• Prepare HR reports, analyse workforce data and advise management.
• Supervise the HR team and ensure effective delivery of HR services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional HR certification is an advantage.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a leadership or managerial position.
• Experience in microfinance, banking, financial services or a similar regulated environment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labour laws and HR best practices.
