Head of Internal Audit

About the role

The Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund is recruiting a Head of Internal Audit in Accra. The role develops audit standards, policies, procedures and control systems, and provides an independent audit and evaluation of systems and controls to improve the effectiveness of controls and governance.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or an equivalent professional qualification in a related discipline.
• Member of a recognized professional body (CIA, ICA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
• Twelve years of relevant working experience, including at least four years in a senior management position in an investment bank or a reputable international financial institution with project finance experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk-based internal audit, governance and control functions.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of audit and accounting methodologies and tools, and of auditing and accounting standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other auditing software; excellent knowledge of enterprise-wide accounting information systems.
