Hotel Receptionist – Front Desk Guest Services

About the role

The Hotel Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests, delivering warm, professional service during check‑in and check‑out while managing reservations and coordinating with hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, process check‑ins/check‑outs, and allocate rooms.
• Handle reservations via phone, email, online platforms and walk‑ins.
• Answer telephone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and promote hotel facilities and special offers.
• Process payments, issue receipts and balance daily transactions.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance and other departments to ensure room readiness and resolve guest concerns.
• Maintain accurate guest records, prepare daily reports and shift handover notes, and keep the reception area clean and organized.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a Hotel Receptionist or Front Desk Officer.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel reservation/PMS software (advantageous).
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and record‑keeping abilities.
