Junior Travel Manager

About the role

Enroute54 is looking for a Junior Travel Manager to join its travel and operations team in Accra, working in a hybrid setting. You will be the main point of contact for clients, helping them plan and book travel experiences in Africa across a portfolio of client accounts, working closely with an assigned Senior Travel Manager and being managed by the Travel Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Nurture a portfolio of client accounts and turn new leads into confirmed business.
• Create itinerary and experience proposals covering flights, accommodation, events, activities and concierge services.
• Help plan and run confirmed trips and ground experiences, and manage client communications before, during and after travel.
• Handle correspondence with vendors and ground-service providers and keep vendor and product catalogues up to date.
• Research destinations, vet ground vendors and partners, and support the marketing team with travel media assets such as brochures and campaign materials.
• Maintain accurate client records, take part in brand content and take on other reasonable duties supporting the travel and operations teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant or related field.
• Customer-focused, adaptable and able to work autonomously and in a team; a self-starter ready to learn on the job.
• Good understanding of travel experiences and the tourism landscape (knowledge of African countries desirable).
• Nice to have: previous experience in administrative, project management, travel management or hospitality roles, and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or Google Docs (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail and planning, administration and research skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and multitask.
