Warehouse Supervisor (HWF)

About the role

This position is for a Warehouse Supervisor (HWF) who oversees daily warehouse operations and the people working in them. The role covers receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping, and reporting on inventory and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping
• Assign tasks and monitor employee performance
• Maintain inventory levels through regular stock counts and use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and productivity
• Ensure proper storage, labeling and handling of goods, and inspect incoming and outgoing goods for quality and accuracy
• Enforce safety rules and company policies, and keep the warehouse clean, organized and efficient
• Identify ways to improve workflow and reduce errors or delays
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on inventory, productivity and staffing, and communicate with management on warehouse performance and needs

Required profile

• 2 to 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations; previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics or a related field preferred; candidates from UCC, KNUST, the University of Ghana or the University of Education Winneba are particularly preferred
• Physically fit and able to work in a warehouse environment, willing to work shifts, weekends or overtime if required

Required skills

• Good knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
• Ability to use WMS and basic computer applications
• Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures
