About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) invites applications for a Lecturer position within its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The role involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervising student projects, conducting research, and contributing to community service and faculty development in a technology‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and labs across selected departments (e.g., Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or General Studies).
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects and theses.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish findings in reputable journals.
• Participate in community outreach and service activities aligned with the university’s mission.
• Contribute to curriculum development, departmental meetings and faculty governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, ICT).
• Demonstrated teaching and research experience appropriate for a Lecturer rank.
• Three professional referees with contact details.
