NOC Engineer – Linux & Cisco Network Operations

About the role

We are looking for a proactive NOC Engineer to join our technical team in Accra. The role focuses on managing Linux servers, monitoring the Teledata backbone and supporting Cisco network equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux and Windows based email and DNS (BIND) servers.
• Monitor network performance, conduct application, firmware, license and firmware upgrades.
• Install, configure and manage multi‑vendor network devices including Cisco routers and switches, HP switches, internet cache servers and VOIP gateways.
• Use bandwidth monitoring and testing tools to ensure optimal network capacity.
• Participate in planning, design and implementation of new projects and enhancements.

Required profile

• First degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
• Proven experience designing WAN networks and configuring Cisco routing and switching equipment.
• Familiarity with server virtualization technologies.
