Operations Supervisor – Retail & Beauty Salon

About the role

The Operations Supervisor supports the daily running of a retail shop and beauty salon, coordinating operational activities and supervising staff. The role requires a committed, hard‑working individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for customer enquiries, resolve issues and manage complaints.
• Oversee shop opening/closing, supervise shop assistants, ensure cleanliness and stock control.
• Manage supplier and vendor sourcing, conduct stocktaking and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Maintain customer databases, record sales and expenses, and oversee order fulfilment and delivery.
• Handle recruitment, induction, training, attendance monitoring and staff supervision.
• Plan and execute events, promotions, branding, social‑media posts and partnership activities.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma, HND or degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or Customer Service.
• Experience supervising staff and working in retail or beauty‑salon environments.
• Strong telephone etiquette, administrative and organisational abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet urgent deadlines and follow tasks through to completion.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to use social‑media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
