Procurement Supervisor

About the role

The Procurement Supervisor will lead the sourcing function, ensuring a reliable supply chain that supports business operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to drive efficiency, compliance, and cost savings.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vendor performance, identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain post‑order processes, including order confirmation, scheduling and logistics coordination.
• Enforce supplier governance policies and ensure compliance with ethical procurement and anti‑corruption standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate fraud, theft and inefficiencies.
• Drive procurement digitisation using SAP ERP.
• Negotiate cost‑effective contracts and work with Legal to align agreements with Ghanaian and international best practices.
• Identify cost‑saving initiatives in transportation, warehousing and inventory management.
• Optimise freight and storage costs through route planning, bulk purchasing and supplier negotiations.
• Reduce logistics downtime with real‑time tracking and forecasting models.
• Generate weekly and monthly performance, inventory, spending and compliance reports for the Head of Department.
• Lead ISO audits and act as HSE champion for the department.

Required profile

• Minimum a degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• At least 5 years of sourcing and procurement experience, with 2 years in FMCG operations.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a diverse team.
• Willingness to work extra hours when required and act as a safety champion.
