Remote TikTok & Instagram Video Editor (Ghana)

About the role

A fast-growing creative and marketing agency based in Toronto, which works with restaurants, nightlife brands and lifestyle businesses, is looking for a remote Social Media Content Editor based in Ghana. The role turns raw footage into engaging short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts. It is a contract position, paid per completed video.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos using CapCut or similar software, adding captions, transitions, sound design and effects.
• Follow creative direction while bringing your own ideas to each edit.
• Deliver edits on time and complete revisions when requested.
• Attend at least two weekly review meetings to give and receive feedback.
• Communicate proactively about deadlines, revisions and project updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience editing short-form social media content; applicants must show actual short-form videos they personally edited.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to receive and apply feedback professionally.
• Reliable, organized and able to meet deadlines, including Canadian Eastern Time deadlines (edits generally due by 12:00 PM ET).
• Fast, reliable internet and a backup connection are strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CapCut or similar video editing software.
• Understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts trends.
• Bonus: Canva, Photoshop or other creative software, and a strong eye for pacing, captions, typography, transitions and beat matching.

What we offer

• Pay per video, typically GHS 35 to 120+, depending on complexity: simple edits GHS 35-50, standard edits GHS 50-80, complex edits GHS 80-120+.
• Each video includes up to two rounds of revisions.
• Potentially higher rates and more work for consistent, high-quality delivery.
