Sales Account Manager (Key Accounts)

About the role

A full-time Sales Account Manager is needed in Tema, Ghana, to develop and manage strategic relationships with key customers and drive sales growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. The role maintains long-term partnerships with major retail, wholesale and distribution accounts and looks for ways to expand business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans for assigned key customers and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, promotions and trade terms.
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in customer organisations.
• Monitor customer performance, sales trends and market opportunities.
• Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, finance and customer service teams.
• Manage promotional activities and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Resolve customer issues and follow up promptly.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts and account performance reports.
• Identify opportunities for new product listings and business expansion.
• Follow payment collections and maintain a healthy aging report.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods.
• Experience managing modern trade and key accounts.
• Commercial and financial acumen, strong negotiation and relationship management skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, leadership and team collaboration abilities.
