Retail Sales & Customer Service Associate

About the role

NAYA by Africa is hiring a full-time Retail Sales & Customer Service Associate for its shop in the Accra and Tema region. This is an entry-level, hands-on retail position for recent graduates who want to learn sales, customer experience, marketing or retail management. The associate works 5 days a week, including weekends and holidays, from 8:30 am to 8 pm, and interacts with customers daily while supporting shop operations.

Key responsibilities

• Open, close and manage daily shop operations, keeping the shop clean, organised, well-stocked and visually appealing
• Monitor product availability, support inventory checks, stock receiving, transfers and reconciliation, and maintain accurate daily sales and activity records
• Welcome customers, recommend products, explain benefits, ingredients, routines and usage, and drive daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
• Upsell and cross-sell, support in-store promotions, product launches and campaigns, and process purchases accurately using POS or approved systems
• Build relationships with customers, follow up on repeat purchases, collect feedback and handle complaints professionally
• Maintain a customer database or contact list where required and encourage loyalty and referrals
• Represent the brand professionally at the shop and at marketing and sales events, and support social media or content requests

Required profile

• Entry-level role for recent graduates; minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of retail sales experience
• Degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Retail Management, Communications or a related field
• Previous retail, beauty, skincare, cosmetics, wellness or customer service experience preferred
• Reliable, organised and customer-focused
