Sales Execution Coordinator - Imports

About the role

Hapag-Lloyd's Sales Execution Imports team works directly with customers to develop, secure and maintain profitable business in line with the company's objectives. The Sales Execution Coordinator manages and grows its own portfolio of customers and opportunities, covering MR and Geo-From customers under the Area Sales Steering concept, and focuses on medium and large accounts within a designated territory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow the portfolio of customers and opportunities, and develop budgets within the assigned territory.
• Meet customers face-to-face in appointments to develop and maintain profitable business.
• Plan and review accounts, conduct account planning and derive an account strategy with an action plan.
• Coordinate participation in tender requests and handle customer tender feedback.
• Take part in weekly coaching sessions with the Country Manager to review past sales and align future activities.
• Approach import customers through specified sales channels such as reefer and import.
• Coordinate credit applications with Sales Management and Finance, and provide import market information and insights.
• Prepare and execute visit plans and reports in the required systems.
• Ensure proper handover and close cooperation with colleagues in other sales channels.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, confident in negotiating and closing business.
• Strong business and customer focus, able to build effective working relationships.
• Collaborative team player who coordinates across functions and stakeholders.
• Clear, persuasive communication and presentation skills.
• Digital aptitude, including supporting and promoting e-commerce and online customer solutions.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong written and spoken English.
