Sales Executive - Insurance

About the role

Vanguard Life, an insurance company headquartered in Ghana offering life insurance and financial protection products, is hiring a full-time Sales Executive in Accra. The position is hybrid, combining in-office work with some flexibility to work from home. The Sales Executive identifies and pursues new business, builds and manages a client portfolio and promotes the company's insurance products to meet sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and network, and conduct client meetings and presentations
• Explain policy options and prepare quotations
• Support clients through the application and onboarding process
• Maintain accurate records in the company's CRM systems
• Collaborate with underwriting and customer service teams
• Provide ongoing policy reviews to meet clients' needs
• Follow regulatory guidelines, represent the company professionally and contribute to market insights and sales strategies

Required profile

• Proven sales skills in financial services or related sectors, including prospecting, negotiation and closing deals
• Strong client relationship management, focused on customer service and long-term retention
• Clear and confident written and verbal communication, able to explain complex products simply
• Relevant experience in insurance, banking or another regulated industry is an advantage
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup, manage time independently and meet performance targets
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with the Ghanaian market and regulatory environment is beneficial
