Social Media Manager

About the role

Pulse Ghana is looking for a Social Media Manager to shape and run its digital presence across all social media platforms. The role creates, curates and distributes high-impact content that matches the target audience, keeps the brand voice consistent and uses each platform's features effectively. It also leads community engagement, monitors the online environment proactively and drives growth in followers and engagement through data-driven strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Create, curate and schedule content across all assigned platforms, ensuring timely distribution and using platform-specific features to boost visibility.
• Monitor comments, messages and user-generated content daily, approve and reply to them in line with brand guidelines.
• Track trends and real-time developments with social media analytics tools to optimise content timing and relevance.
• Achieve ambitious posting frequency, engagement and follower growth targets.
• Act as a brand advocate by engaging authentically in social conversations and answering inquiries.
• Develop and run data-backed strategies, including A/B testing, and monitor, analyse and report campaign performance against KPIs.
• Stay up to date with tools, platforms, design trends and best practices, and recommend improvements.
• Escalate brand risks or opportunities arising from user-generated content to management.
• Collaborate with editorial, video production and sales teams to keep messaging cohesive.
