Supply Chain Specialist – Ghana

About the role

UPL Limited is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to oversee end‑to‑end supply chain activities for its operations in Ghana. The role will ensure efficient procurement, production planning and distribution while controlling costs and maintaining service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement, production and distribution processes to meet business objectives.
• Monitor inventory levels, optimise turnover and reduce holding costs.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms.
• Develop and implement process‑improvement initiatives to increase supply chain efficiency.
• Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Optimise transportation routes and modes to minimise cost and delivery time.
• Forecast demand and plan inventory to satisfy customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals.
• Manage supplier performance, resolve disruptions and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply chain, logistics or procurement.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using inventory management software.
