Transport Control Clerk

About the role

The Transport Control Clerk is responsible for developing and coordinating driver rosters and fleet movement schedules for airport travel and pick‑up arrangements across Obuasi, Kumasi and Accra. The role supports plant availability, cost‑effectiveness and risk minimisation in line with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Produce work rosters and driver schedules for all transport activities.
• Conduct periodic audits of vehicle and driver documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Organise information for the Transport Officer and Superintendent to develop condition‑monitoring checks.
• Generate work requests in SAP for vehicle maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Monitor equipment performance on the asset health system and implement proactive measures.

Required profile

• Secondary education level with a valid driver’s licence.
• At least 2 years of experience in a transport environment, preferably in mining.
• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent certification (e.g., City and Guilds).

Required skills

• Strong document control competencies in a mining environment.
• Knowledge of SAP PM module.
• Familiarity with DVLA modules and vehicle permit compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project and Excel.
