Vehicle Dispatcher

About the role

The Dispatcher will be based on‑site in Accra, coordinating daily vehicle movements for Urban Cars ADL. You will assign drivers to trips, monitor progress and ensure timely pick‑ups and drop‑offs in line with customer requests and company schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate drivers to scheduled trips and adjust assignments as needed.
• Monitor real‑time trip progress using dispatch or GPS systems.
• Respond to delays, route changes or incidents and communicate updates to drivers and operations staff.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption and vehicle availability.
• Handle customer inquiries related to trips and escalate issues when required.
• Support basic reporting on operational performance.

Required profile

• Strong communication and coordination abilities for real‑time interaction with drivers, customers and internal teams.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills to juggle multiple trips and schedule changes under pressure.
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping.
• Ability to work on‑site in Accra, including early, late or weekend shifts as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in dispatch, transportation, ride‑hailing, logistics or fleet coordination is an advantage.
