Africa Strategy & Growth Associate (12‑Month Fixed‑Term, Remote)

About the role

Generation is seeking an Africa Strategy & Growth Associate to support its expansion across the continent. This 12‑month fixed‑term position is fully remote and sits within the SAMEA regional team, bridging market development, programme innovation, and business‑model design.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous market and opportunity analyses for potential new African countries.
• Develop investment cases and design commercial revenue models to reduce donor dependency.
• Support country and regional teams in piloting, testing, and scaling validated approaches.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build trusted relationships and gather market intelligence.
• Prepare concise reports and presentations for senior leadership on strategic findings.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical capability.
• Experience in market research, strategy development, or business modelling.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
