About the role
The Institute for Oil and Gas Studies at the University of Cape Coast seeks qualified candidates for an Associate Professor position. The appointment will support teaching, research, and professional activities across energy economics, petroleum engineering, commerce, and natural resource law and governance.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the designated areas of specialization.
- Supervise student research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Conduct high‑quality research and publish refereed articles in relevant fields.
- Engage in professional activities that enhance the Institute’s reputation and impact.
Required profile
- Academic qualifications meeting the University’s criteria for Senior Lecturer.
- Minimum of seven refereed publications in the area of specialization since the last Senior Lecturer appointment.
- At least four years of teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise postgraduate and undergraduate research.
- Strong research background and relevant professional experience.
- Maximum age of 55 years.
