Relationship Manager, Asset Management

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Asset Management will develop, manage and grow relationships with asset management companies, pension fund managers, mutual funds, insurance companies and other institutional investors. The role focuses on mobilising deposits and investments, delivering treasury and transaction‑banking solutions, and generating sustainable fee and interest income while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new institutional investor relationships and maintain strong contacts with fund managers, trustees and investment decision‑makers.
• Develop and execute relationship plans to increase deposits, investment balances and overall client profitability.
• Promote the bank’s treasury, cash‑management, fixed‑deposit and other liability products to maximise wallet share.
• Cross‑sell treasury, foreign‑exchange, custody and transaction‑banking services to drive fee and interest income.
• Provide market intelligence on interest rates, treasury products and investment opportunities.
• Prepare credit proposals, monitor client activity and flag potential risk or compliance issues.
• Ensure adherence to KYC, AML/CFT and internal policy requirements and maintain accurate client records.
• Produce periodic portfolio performance reports and share sector insights with internal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in relationship management with asset management firms or other institutional investors.
• Strong understanding of treasury, cash‑management and transaction‑banking products.
• Ability to develop and implement growth plans and conduct regular client reviews.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as KYC and AML/CFT.
