Head of Partnerships – Africa

About the role

Lead business strategy and build powerful commercial relationships across Africa, shaping the continent’s financial landscape while supporting diaspora communities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own relationships with existing partners in Africa and continuously identify new partners and stakeholders.
• Negotiate commercial deals and oversee the process from first meeting to go‑live.
• Represent Taptap Send with regulators and policy makers across the region, embodying competence and confidence.
• Track, analyse and report key market metrics, sharing insights and best practices with the Growth team.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Operations, Business Development and Engineering to ensure the product meets regional needs.

Required profile

• Approximately 10+ years of experience in fast‑paced environments such as tech, professional services or finance.
• Demonstrated instinct for commercial deal‑making.
• Experience working with regulators and policy makers in Africa.
• Strong ties to Africa and a willingness to handle gritty details.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
