About the role
Join First National Bank Ghana as a Relationship Manager focusing on the Mining, Energy and Infrastructure sectors. You will drive business growth, manage key client relationships and align sector strategies with the bank’s overall objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for the mining, energy and infrastructure portfolio.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key clients and decision‑makers.
- Identify new opportunities, expand wallet share and cross‑sell bank products.
- Conduct annual and interim credit reviews in partnership with credit analysts.
- Negotiate pricing, service standards and product offerings, and communicate them effectively.
- Resolve client complaints and determine optimal product solutions.
- Plan and coordinate marketing initiatives to acquire new business and strengthen existing relationships.
- Ensure adherence to risk service standards and bank policies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including risk, investment banking, and sector heads.
- Identify, develop and retain talent within the team.
- Research and pursue target lists for potential new business.
- Prepare and assess credit applications, incorporating judgmental information.
- Organise joint client visits with coverage analysts and product specialists.
Required profile
- Proven experience in corporate banking or relationship management within mining, energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of credit assessment, risk management and banking products.
- Ability to lead and develop a high‑performing team.
- Excellent client‑facing and negotiation skills.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on business development.
