Manager - Data & Technology Risk - Assurance

About the role

As a Manager in Data & Technology Risk at EY Ghana, you will lead engagements across sectors such as financial services, telecommunications and energy, ensuring robust IT risk management and data analytics practices. You will guide a high‑performing team while driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of data analysts and IT auditors, fostering collaboration and results‑orientation.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for data analytics and IT risk assurance services aligned with client needs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing insights on IT environments, risks and controls.
• Oversee multiple audit engagements, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence and compliance with industry standards.
• Establish quality‑assurance processes for data analytics to guarantee accurate audit findings.
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation to enhance audit methodology efficiency.
• Lead training initiatives to support continuous professional development within the team.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships in data analytics and IT risk assurance.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports summarising audit findings, risk assessments and strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related field.
• CISA and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications.
• 10+ years of experience in IT risk assurance, data analytics and audit support, with a strong managerial focus.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• Audit frameworks and security standards: COBIT, SOX, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, ISO 22301.
• Data analytics tools: Power BI, Alteryx, Python, SQL.
• Emerging technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning.
• Project management, budgeting and resource allocation.
