Administrative & Finance Director (CFO) – Telecom Ghana

About the role

CANAL+ Telecom Africa is looking for a Chief Financial Officer for its Ghana entity, a new position within the group. The CFO leads a multidisciplinary team and reports to the Group CFO and the area General Manager, overseeing the financial health, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency of the area, and optimising supply chain processes to support growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage teams and service providers covering accounting, treasury, controlling, human resources and logistics
• Implement financial strategies supporting the company's business objectives
• Act as business partner to the CEO, providing strategic financial insights and challenging assumptions
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Ensure reliable accounts, consolidate financial data, set cost accounting and performance indicators, and prepare the budget and plan
• Handle treasury, credit, debt collection and bank relations
• Report to shareholders accurately and in line with local regulations and international accounting standards
• Analyse the area's performance (sales, operations) and identify improvements
• Build relationships with financial institutions, tax authorities and banks
• Oversee HR functions (recruitment, performance management, social relations) with local and group HR, and ensure compliance with labour laws
• Develop supply chain and procurement strategies with headquarters

Required profile

• Degree from a business school (ESC) specialising in finance or management
• Confirmed finance and management control profile with solid team management experience
• 8 to 15 years of essential experience in the telecom sector and/or consumer goods
• Fluent English; geographic mobility and strong interest in Africa
• Excellent communication, persuasion and business acumen, ability to engage senior stakeholders, analytical rigor, honesty and reliability
