City Growth & Operations Lead (Kumasi)

About the role

Night Market is launching its services in Kumasi and needs a hands‑on leader to drive the city’s launch and sustained growth. You will own the end‑to‑end performance of the marketplace, building vendor and rider networks while acquiring and activating customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the launch and growth strategy for Kumasi, targeting high‑potential neighbourhoods, campuses and commercial clusters.
• Identify, recruit and onboard quality food vendors across the city.
• Recruit, train, activate and manage a reliable rider fleet.
• Lead customer acquisition through field activations, partnerships, referrals, digital campaigns and community initiatives.
• Balance customer demand, vendor supply and rider availability to ensure smooth operations.
• Track and analyse key metrics such as orders, active customers, vendor performance, delivery times, cancellations and acquisition costs.
• Use market feedback and operational data to spot problems and growth opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with vendors, riders, student communities, businesses and local partners.
• Recruit and supervise field agents or other local team members as needed.
• Provide regular performance reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Resident of Kumasi or deep knowledge of the city’s commercial ecosystem.
• Experience in operations, business development, sales, logistics, marketplaces, food delivery or fast‑moving consumer goods.
• Execution‑driven, comfortable working both in the field and with data.
• Strong analytical mindset, able to turn numbers into actionable insights.
• Excellent negotiator and relationship builder with proven team‑leadership abilities.
• Resourceful, organised and proactive problem‑solver.
• Clear communicator who can work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
