Commercial Director – Hospitality Sales

About the role

The Commercial Director leads the property’s segmented sales efforts, driving revenue across group, transient, corporate and other market segments. Reporting to senior management, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution to meet revenue targets and ensure guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement aggressive sales strategies and solicitation programs for all market segments.
• Set personal booking goals and recommend targets for the sales team to maximize revenue.
• Monitor daily activities of direct reports, approve space releases for catering, and participate in sales calls to acquire or close business.
• Analyze market data using sales systems, support revenue management with accurate forecasts, and review guest satisfaction metrics.
• Lead customer service initiatives, gather guest feedback, and ensure high standards of hospitality.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field plus 4 years sales/marketing experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 2 years experience.
• Proven ability to lead sales teams and achieve revenue goals in a hospitality environment.
