Corporate Relationship Manager - General Insurance

About the role

This role is responsible for distributing insurance solutions to corporate clients by building long-term partnerships with businesses in line with the company's strategic objectives. It covers business development, client relationship management, underwriting support and market analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new corporate and private sector clients to grow the commercial insurance portfolio
• Develop tailored insurance solutions for businesses in property, liability, marine and engineering lines
• Create and implement strategies to retain existing clients and maximise renewal rates
• Achieve business targets in volume, market share and profit across all segments
• Negotiate insurance contracts and terms with corporate clients and affluent individuals
• Implement sales initiatives in the corporate space, including distribution strategy and channel management
• Ensure satisfactory delivery timelines on quotations, new business and renewals
• Build relationships with corporate clients, brokers and intermediaries and act as the main point of contact for corporate accounts
• Conduct regular client reviews to find cross-selling and upselling opportunities
• Give input on pricing and terms for complex accounts, advise clients on risk management and coverage, and prepare product training programmes
• Report regularly on account performance, growth, profitability and retention
• Monitor industry trends, competitors and market conditions, and present findings to senior management
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and ethical standards

Required profile

• 4-8 years of practical experience in B2B sales in the general insurance industry
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Commerce or a similar field
• A recognised professional qualification in marketing (CIM) or insurance is an advantage
