Sales Specialist - Cement Industry

About the role

CIMPOR is looking for a Sales Specialist to support its market entry and drive sales growth in Ghana. The ideal candidate has proven experience in the cement industry, a strong understanding of the Ghanaian cement market and established relationships with customers and distribution partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers to support market entry and sales growth in Ghana.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and construction-sector clients.
• Expand distribution channels and strengthen market coverage.
• Identify new sales opportunities and monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing.
• Negotiate commercial terms and sales agreements in line with company objectives.
• Manage customer accounts, maintain the sales pipeline and keep CRM records accurate.
• Prepare regular sales reports and provide market intelligence to support business decisions.
• Contribute to sales planning and market penetration strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the cement industry.
• Knowledge of the Ghanaian cement market and distribution channels.
• Established connections with customers, distributors and key players in the Ghanaian cement market.
• Results-oriented approach, able to work independently and achieve sales targets.

Required skills

• Customer acquisition, sales development and negotiation skills.
• Good computer skills, especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with CRM systems; knowledge of SAP or Zoho CRM is an advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
