Finance Analyst

About the role

The Finance/Business Analyst supports strategic decision-making in the Finance and Business Development departments, reporting directly to the General Manager. The role drives data-driven insights across portfolio management, financial analysis and business development, conducting market research, evaluating investment opportunities and building financial models for due diligence and portfolio monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and trend analysis in sectors relevant to the organisation's operations
• Support the Business Development team with data-driven insights and research findings
• Take part in cohort screening and follow up discussions with prospective partners and clients
• Assist associates and principals with due diligence on new investment opportunities
• Prepare draft pre-screening, screening and due diligence reports for the General Manager's review
• Analyse historical financial statements of portfolio companies to assess performance and risk
• Develop financial models for onboarding new portfolio companies using scenario analyses
• Perform financial analysis using key ratios and sensitivity analysis for pipeline deals
• Design and maintain tools for tracking and monitoring portfolio company performance
• Compile quarterly portfolio monitoring reports for project sponsors
• Provide advisory support to portfolio companies and carry out monitoring and evaluation
• Prepare ESG reports, bank balance and P&L reports, and complete monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Board
• Execute statutory filings and other duties assigned by the General Manager
