Installation Technician

About the role

Prestige HR is recruiting an Installation Technician for Accra, working on behalf of Yes Pac. The technician installs, commissions and maintains packaging machines, lines and ancillary equipment at customer sites, and provides on-site and remote technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Install, assemble and commission packaging machines, lines and ancillary equipment according to technical drawings, manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
• Make mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and basic control connections, then test, calibrate and fine-tune equipment before handover.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, fit spare parts and respond to breakdown call-outs with on-site and remote support.
• Demonstrate safe operation and give basic operator training to customer staff, and advise on use, settings and consumables.
• Complete installation, service and job reports, maintain equipment history and warranty records, and keep tools and PPE accounted for.
• Work to health and safety regulations, report hazards and uphold quality standards.

Required profile

• HND or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering, or a recognised technical/vocational qualification (NVTI, City & Guilds or equivalent) with WASSCE/SSSCE passes including Mathematics and English.
• At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience installing, servicing or maintaining industrial machinery or equipment.
