Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

Prestige HR is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Technician based in Accra. The role covers day-to-day maintenance of molds and machines, fault diagnosis and support of preventive maintenance plans.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, clean and carry out basic mechanical maintenance of molds and machines.
• Diagnose and record mechanical faults and follow up on repairs.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities regularly.
• Maintain and repair mechanical and pneumatic systems in line with manuals and technical standards.
• Record all maintenance activities and breakdowns in maintenance logs and reports.
• Support preventive-maintenance plans and monitor equipment performance to avoid recurring faults.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance work.
• English, able to read technical instructions and fault descriptions.
• Certifications are not required.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Use of mechanical tools and measuring instruments.
• Understanding of pneumatic systems and mechanical assemblies.
• Attention to detail, good communication, teamwork, problem-solving and ability to work safely under production pressure.
