Isolation Valves Sales Manager - Mining / Oil & Gas

About the role

A full-time Isolation Valves Sales Manager is sought in Accra and the Tema region, responsible for growing the sales of Isolation Valve (ISV) products in the mining and oil & gas sectors. The role covers account planning, revenue growth, channel management and trade compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual business goals and build strong relationships with key leaders across the product and account portfolio.
• Position ISV products as the preferred supplier and develop new collaborations with executive decision-makers.
• Review sales performance regularly with the sales team, update project opportunities in CRM and booking databases, and report weekly to the Area Sales Manager.
• Develop RFQ qualification and priority-setting processes for mega projects, and plans to grow revenue and profit from the installed base.
• Drive competitive displacement in mining and metals, and proactively manage plant shutdowns (STO) and modernization, upgrade and expansion opportunities.
• Act as trusted advisor to customers and lead comprehensive account and site plans, including growth plans, forecasts, pricing surveys and competitor intelligence.
• Establish long-term agreements for services, turnaround and parts with key accounts such as Newmont, Goldfields, Anglogold and Tullow Oil, and manage the local channel partner.
• Ensure ethics and trade compliance, follow up on closing orders, and track KPIs on quotes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years in valve and sales, with proven sales success and a background in proactive selling.
• Industry experience in metals and mining.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; preferred qualifications include a diploma or MBA, relevant sales management experience, multinational company experience and good metal and mining sales experience.
