Production Technician

About the role

The Production Technician will operate and maintain assigned machinery to ensure uninterrupted, efficient production. You will work closely with production, maintenance and quality teams to keep the line running safely and at optimum performance.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by Production, Maintenance and QA managers.
• Record hourly production data, machine counters and flow‑meter readings.
• Maintain cleanliness of the machine and work area throughout the shift.
• Hand over raw materials and finished products at shift changeovers and document downtime.
• Perform preventive and planned maintenance tasks and log all activities.
• Conduct visual inspections of raw materials and finished goods before release.
• Carry out quality checks on inspection equipment and products.
• Communicate with internal customers to ensure smooth line operation.

Required profile

• HND or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience after national service, preferably in FMCG manufacturing.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 2200).
• Strong teamwork, communication and safety awareness.
