Regional Commercial Manager

About the role

Complete Farmer is hiring a Regional Commercial Manager (also called Regional Commercial Officer) for its Field Operations / Grower Commercial Operations department. The role is highly field-based, based in an assigned territory in Ghana or Togo, and reports to the Field Operations Director. It owns grower and agent acquisition, CF Grower adoption, retention and the verified supply pipeline, and directly manages Field Officers while performance-managing contracted Grower Agents and Aggregation Agents.

Key responsibilities

• Turn company, buyer-demand, crop and CF Grower objectives into regional quarterly targets, campaigns and weekly leading indicators, and segment communities, cooperatives and channels by crop potential, acreage, density, digital readiness, service cost, risk and route-to-market opportunity.
• Build partnerships with cooperatives, aggregators, community leaders and commercial growers, and run field campaigns, demonstrations and assisted-digital acquisition with Growth, Marketing and Product teams.
• Identify and vet Grower Agents, Aggregation Agents and cooperative partners, set their weekly and monthly targets, track conversion, retention, costs and complaints, and maintain a regional agent roster and performance scorecard.
• Ensure Field Officers and agents capture complete, consented grower and farm data, coordinate KYC and eligibility verification, and run land mapping to approved geospatial standards, avoiding duplicates.
• Move growers from registration to meaningful use of CF Grower, diagnose adoption barriers and run re-engagement experiments, tracking conversion, feature use, time-to-value and retention.
• Match growers and cooperatives to buyer demand and crop plans, maintain a confidence-rated supply pipeline, surface forecast gaps and risks early, and reconcile forecasts to actuals.
• Lead Field Officers and agents with weekly stand-ups, coaching and monthly performance reviews, allocate territories and leads, monitor field evidence, control devices, vehicles, travel and expenses, and protect grower data and community trust.

Required profile

• At least five years of progressive experience in a technology startup or digitally enabled growth business, driving customer acquisition, activation and adoption against measurable targets.
• Demonstrated success scaling a platform, marketplace, fintech, agritech, logistics, agent network or distributed service in an informal economy or underserved market.
• Experience managing field teams and/or contracted agents across multiple locations using targets, routes, digital evidence, coaching and performance consequences.
• Evidence of improving a real funnel (conversion, activation, retention, acquisition cost or productive supply outcomes).
• Experience partnering with Product, Growth, Data and Operations to turn field insight into product and process improvements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical capability in business, marketing, agriculture, economics or development.
• Practical exposure to agriculture, rural commerce, cooperatives, aggregation, land mapping or buyer-linked production is strongly preferred.
