Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OB/GYN) – Immediate Start

About the role

Famano Health is seeking a qualified, motivated, and patient‑focused Obstetrician & Gynecologist to join its growing women’s health practice in Accra. This hands‑on position combines clinical consultations, procedural work, laboratory coordination, and administrative duties within a modern, patient‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialist gynaecological consultations, including cervical screening, pelvic exams, and ultrasounds.
• Manage antenatal care from the first to third trimester and provide post‑natal follow‑up.
• Diagnose and treat gynaecological conditions such as infections, hormonal imbalances, PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, and vaginal health issues.
• Perform minor procedures: IUD insertion/removal, contraceptive implant placement, cervical biopsies, LEEP, cryotherapy, and assist in deliveries when needed.
• Prescribe, monitor, and interpret laboratory and imaging tests, communicating results sensitively to patients.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records, schedule appointments, handle billing, and ensure compliance with hygiene and confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology and valid licence to practice in Ghana.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Patient‑centred attitude, able to work autonomously and handle on‑call duties.
• Commitment to high‑quality, confidential women’s healthcare.
